HOW To PLAY SUDOKU

Firstly you need a sharp brain and some concentration
The rules of Sudoku are incredibly simple, but the solution is tantilisingly elusive to reach. No arithmetic or calculation is needed, making the game open to everyone. So children have as much chance of succeeding as adults – in fact, in some countries in Europe, children are winning adult Sudoku tournaments.

Let's Get Started

Fill all the blank squares with the correct numbers, following these simple rules

Every row (across the page) of squares must include all numbers from 1 to 9 in any order

Every row (across the page) of squares must include all numbers from 1 to 9 in any order

Every column (down the page) of squares must include the numbers from 1 to 9 in any order.

Every 3 by 3 section of squares marked by bold lines inside the grid must include all digits 1 through 9.

The game begins with a Sudoku grid with some squares already filled in with the correct numbers. You must work out through logic and deduction which numbers belong in the other blank squares.

Easy puzzles start with many numbers already complete, making the solution easier to find. As you begin to complete a Sudoku game each square becomes easier to correctly fill in.

Our online sudoku game lets you check if you have the correct solution. Submit your time to this weeks leaderboard and see how you compare with other players.
